We at SPC believe in educating and making people aware of the need to prevent animals from any kind of cruelty and suffering, conducting or sponsoring animal care projects, both to directly alleviate animal suffering and to demonstrate humane methods of handling and responding to animal-related dilemmas. Feeding them and taking care of their needs are the most basic things we do along with creating awareness of their requirements. Named in memory of Shri Adarsh P Challani, Adarsh Ghosala was founded in the year 2009 with this goal in mind.
A few rescued cows were the beginning of what is now a flourishing Ghosala. Since then, Adarsh Ghosala has taken up the task of rescuing and caring for cows in a sustainable manner. The rescued cows are fed, sheltered and taken care of with the reverence that they deserve. As of 2019, Adarsh Ghosala is home to around 280 cows.
In the future, we plan to expand Adarsh Ghosala as a place that provides and cares for 1000 cows while also providing help and support towards the treatment of the old and sick cows. Caring and providing for the Ghomata is a continuous and never-ending project, one to which Adarsh Ghosala shall remain dedicated.
